Accountant

Role & responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping activities
• Record and review purchase, sales, journal, bank and cash transactions.
• Perform bank reconciliations, ledger scrutiny and account reconciliations.
• Prepare trial balance, P&L and Balance Sheet.
• Handle GST and TDS compliance, including returns and reconciliations.
• Assist with Income Tax compliance and return filing.
• Coordinate with the client's finance team for required data, documents and clarifications.
• Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies and outstanding items.
• Prepare financial reports, schedules and MIS as required.
• Maintain proper accounting and compliance records and ensure timely completion of deliverables.
• Support statutory audit, tax assessments and other regulatory requirements as needed.

Preferred candidate profile

• B.Com/BBA with 0-2 years of relevant experience in bookkeeping and tax compliance.
• Working knowledge of GST, TDS, and Income Tax provisions
• Proficiency in Tally, Excel, and GST/Income Tax portals
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Willingness to travel to client locations occasionally.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills for client coordination
