Our client is looking for a motivated and experienced Accountant to join our team at a friendly and professional accountancy practice based in Bedford, conveniently located close to the train station.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing year-end accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships.
• Preparing management accounts and financial reports.
• Completing VAT returns and assisting with tax compliance.
• Liaising with clients and building strong working relationships.
• Supporting clients with day-to-day accounting queries.

About You

• Previous experience working within an accountancy practice.
• Strong knowledge of accounts preparation and tax compliance.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• AAT qualified or studying towards ACCA/ACA would be advantageous.
• A proactive approach with strong attention to detail.
