Accountant

As an Accountant , you will play an important role in ensuring accurate and efficient day-to-day accounting operations at Ottobock Ukraine. You will manage daily accounting transactions, maintain accurate records, support monthly closing processes, and work closely with internal teams, external partners, and our international finance colleagues.

We are looking for a proactive, responsible, and detail-oriented Accountant who values accuracy, enjoys working with numbers, and takes ownership of their responsibilities. Beyond routine accounting tasks, we are looking for a reliable and self-driven professional who will become an important part of our team and work closely with colleagues and external partners to resolve accounting-related matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Posting bank statements and recording bank transactions.
• Preparing and issuing VAT invoices to customers.
• Recording goods and services received from local suppliers.
• Supporting documentation for goods returns and incorrect payments, including preparation and control of letters, return invoices, and other related documents.
• Preparing reconciliation statements with customers and suppliers.
• Verifying the accuracy and completeness of supporting accounting documentation.
• Monitoring accounts receivable and accounts payable based on supporting documentation.
• Communicating directly with customers to resolve accounting and documentation-related issues when necessary.
• Participating in the monthly financial closing process.
• Participating in the OneFinance project implementation (ERP system upgrade and launch)

Ideally, we expect experience in

• 5+ years of professional experience in accounting, preferably in an international company.
• University degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• Good knowledge of accounting standards and tax regulations.
• Day-to-day accounting operations, including bank transactions, accounts payable and receivable.
• VAT accounting, invoicing, and primary accounting documentation.
• Reconciliation of accounts with customers and suppliers.
• Supporting monthly closing processes and preparing accounting reports.
• Working with accounting software and ERP systems (SAP would be a plus); strong MS Excel skills.
• English and/or German level – intermediate or higher.
