Accountant

Job Summary:
We are seeking a Accountant with a strong background in trading, retail, or hospitality sectors to join our finance team in Qatar. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing daily financial operations, ensuring compliance with Qatar’s accounting standards and tax laws, and producing accurate financial reports.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Transactions & Record-Keeping

• Handle daily accounting tasks including accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger entries
• Maintain accurate records and ensure proper documentation of all financial activities

Financial Reporting & Compliance

• Prepare monthly/quarterly financial reports (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)
• Support budget planning, cost control, and forecasting
• Ensure compliance with Qatar Tax Laws, and local financial regulations

Payroll & WPS

• Process employee payroll
• Ensure compliance with the Wage Protection System (WPS)

Banking & Reconciliation

• Perform regular bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow
• Liaise with banks for transaction processing and financial coordination

Audit & Controls

• Prepare documentation for internal and external audits
• Implement internal financial controls to ensure data accuracy and reduce risk

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 3–6 years in Qatar (mandatory)
• Industry experience in trading, retail, or hospitality only
• Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel
• Strong understanding of Qatar Tax Laws, and payroll compliance
• Excellent analytical and communication skills
• Local hire only – applicants must already be residing in Qatar
