Beauty Elite Group is looking for a detail-oriented Accountant to join our team in Houston. This role will support the day-to-day accounting operations of our organization, with a strong focus on maintaining accurate financial records, month-end close, reconciliations, reporting, and accounting within our Odoo ERP system.

We're looking for someone with a solid accounting foundation who is comfortable taking ownership of their work, investigating discrepancies, and working across departments to ensure our financial information is accurate and up to date.

What You'll Do

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts and ensure transactions are recorded accurately.
• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, adjustments, and other accounting entries.
• Perform bank, credit card, balance sheet, and other account reconciliations.
• Support and help manage month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Manage and reconcile accounts receivable, including customer balances, payments, and aging.
• Assist with preparation of internal financial statements and management reports.
• Review financial activity and investigate discrepancies, unusual transactions, and variances.
• Maintain fixed asset records, depreciation schedules, and related reconciliations.
• Support inventory and cost accounting, including reconciliation of inventory-related accounts.
• Assist with cash reporting and monitoring of company bank accounts.
• Prepare schedules, reports, and supporting documentation for external CPA and audit requests.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and workflows within Odoo.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting procedures, internal controls, reporting, and Odoo workflows.
• Work closely with operations, sales, purchasing, warehouse, and other departments to resolve accounting-related issues.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2+ years of professional accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of general accounting principles, journal entries, general ledger accounting, and account reconciliations.
• Experience with month-end close and financial reporting.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience working with an ERP or accounting system.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to research and resolve discrepancies independently.
• Good organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with teams outside of accounting.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Odoo Accounting.
• Experience with inventory and cost accounting.
• Experience working in a product-based, distribution, manufacturing, or e-commerce environment.
• Experience improving accounting workflows, ERP processes, or internal controls.

Compensation

$55,000–$60,000 annually, depending on experience.

• This is a full-time, on-site position at Beauty Elite Group in Houston, Texas.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
