Accountant

Job Title: Accountant – Royal Enfield Dealership

Location: Medical Square, Nagpur
Experience: 7-10 Years (Dealership experience preferred)
Qualification: B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter

Job Summary:

The Accountant will manage end-to-end financial operations of the Royal Enfield dealership including vehicle billing, OEM reconciliation, inventory funding (CC/OD), GST compliance, and coordination with sales, service, and finance partners. The role demands strong control over high-value vehicle inventory and scheme-based accounting.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Vehicle Sales Accounting & Billing

• Handle billing of motorcycles, accessories, and merchandise as per OEM guidelines
• Ensure proper accounting of:
• Retail (cash & finance cases)
• Exchange bonus / loyalty schemes
• Insurance & registration charges
• Reconcile daily sales with DMS and physical deliveries
• Ensure correct invoicing with GST and e-invoicing compliance

2. OEM (Royal Enfield) Reconciliation

• Reconcile vehicle purchases with OEM invoices and dispatch records
• Track and account for:
• Dealer margins
• Incentives / schemes / backend discounts
• Credit notes issued by OEM
• Ensure timely accounting of debit/credit notes from Royal Enfield

3. Inventory & Stock Control (High Priority Area)

• Maintain accurate records of:
• Vehicle stock (model-wise, VIN/chassis-wise)
• Spare parts and accessories
• Perform regular stock reconciliation between:
• Physical stock
• DMS
• Books of accounts
• Track in-transit vehicles and pending GRNs
• Monitor ageing stock and slow-moving inventory

4. Inventory Funding & Banking (Critical Function)

• Handle CC/OD or Inventory Funding accounts with banks (e.g. HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank)
• Ensure:
• Timely stock statements submission
• Drawing power calculation
• Interest calculation and reconciliation
• Track vehicle funding against stock and ensure closure upon retail sale
• Coordinate with bank auditors and stock auditors

5. Finance & Receivables Management

• Coordinate with finance partners (NBFCs/Banks) for loan cases
• Track pending disbursements and ensure timely receipts
• Reconcile finance payouts with billed vehicles
• Monitor customer advances and adjust against invoices

6. GST & Statutory Compliance

• Handle GST compliance including:
• GSTR-1, GSTR-3B filing
• Input tax credit reconciliation (especially for vehicles & parts)
• Manage e-invoicing, e-way bills for vehicle movement
• Assist in internal, statutory, and GST audits

7. Vendor & Payables Management

• Process vendor invoices:
• OEM (Royal Enfield)
• Spare parts suppliers
• Local expenses
• Maintain payable schedules and ensure timely payments
• Reconcile vendor ledgers and statements

8. Service & Workshop Accounting

• Account for job cards, service billing, and spare parts consumption
• Reconcile workshop revenue with DMS
• Monitor warranty claims and reimbursements from OEM

9. MIS & Reporting

• Prepare dealership-specific MIS reports:
• Daily retail & billing report
• Stock ageing report
• Fund utilization report
• Profitability (vehicle vs service vs spares)
• Provide insights to management for business decisions

10. Payroll & Expense Monitoring

• Process staff salaries, incentives (sales/service teams)
• Monitor showroom and workshop expenses
• Maintain petty cash and expense control

Key Skills Required:

• Strong knowledge of dealership accounting
• Experience with DMS + Tally/Busy/ERP
• Understanding of inventory funding & stock audits
• GST compliance expertise
• Strong Excel & reconciliation skills

Preferred Experience:

• Experience in Royal Enfield or premium motorcycle dealership
• Familiarity with OEM processes, schemes & backend incentives

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

• Zero mismatch in vehicle stock vs books vs DMS
• Timely OEM reconciliation (no pending credit notes)
• Accurate inventory funding & bank compliance
• Timely GST filings with no notices
• Control over receivables & ageing stock

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
