Job Title: Accountant

Job Description:

We are looking for a qualified and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate should have at least four years of relevant experience in the consultancy or construction industry, with a strong understanding of accounting procedures, financial reporting, invoicing, and cash flow management.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial documents and reports, monitoring payments, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure smooth financial operations and timely reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

* Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, accounting entries, and supporting documents.

* Prepare and monitor cash flow statements, forecasts, and financial reports.

* Prepare, review, and process invoices, payment requests, receipts, and related financial documents.

* Coordinate with project teams, procurement, administration, and management regarding project costs, invoices, payments, and financial matters.

* Monitor project-related expenses, budgets, and cost records.

* Preparing monthly financial reports and other management reports.

* Maintain proper filing and documentation of financial records in accordance with company procedures.

* Assist with VAT records, tax documentation, and other applicable compliance requirements.

* Support month-end and year-end closing activities.

* Identify and report discrepancies in financial records and assist in resolving accounting issues.

* Perform other accounting and finance-related duties as assigned by management.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

* Minimum of 4 years of accounting experience in an engineering consultancy or construction company.

* Experience in preparing cash flow statements, invoices, payment schedules, and financial reports.

* Good understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general accounting procedures.

* Experience monitoring project expenses, supplier payments, client collections, and outstanding balances.

* Ability to coordinate effectively with project teams, procurement, administration, and management.

* Knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and relevant accounting requirements.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.

* Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

* Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.

* Good communication and interpersonal skills.

* Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently.

* Honest, reliable, and professional in handling confidential financial information.

Additional Requirements:

* Must be currently residing in the UAE.

* Relevant experience in engineering consultancy or construction is essential.

* Immediate availability is an advantage.
