Accountant

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage the daily financial transactions of a car/ vehicle repair garage.

Key Responsibilities1. Daily Accounting

• Record all daily financial transactions, including cash, bank transfers, credit card payments, and other receipts.
• Prepare and maintain daily cash and bank reports.
• Reconcile cash collections against invoices and receipts.
• Maintain accurate accounting records in the accounting system.

2. Invoicing and Customer Accounts

• Prepare invoices for vehicle repairs, servicing, labor charges, and spare parts.
• Monitor customer outstanding balances and follow up on overdue payments.
• Maintain customer account statements and payment records.
• Handle credit customers, fleet accounts, and insurance-related billing where applicable.

3. Supplier and Expense Management

• Process supplier invoices for spare parts, lubricants, tires, tools, and other garage materials.
• Verify invoices against purchase orders and goods received.
• Prepare supplier payment schedules and monitor outstanding payables.
• Record garage expenses, including rent, utilities, salaries, and maintenance costs.

4. Spare Parts and Inventory Accounting

• Monitor spare parts purchases, stock movements, and inventory valuation.
• Reconcile physical stock with accounting or inventory system records.
• Investigate stock discrepancies, damaged items, and missing parts.
• Coordinate with the storekeeper and workshop team to ensure accurate parts usage and cost allocation.

5. Financial Reporting

• Prepare monthly profit and loss statements and other financial reports.
• Monitor revenue generated from labor, spare parts, servicing, and repairs.
• Track workshop expenses and profitability.
• Assist management in preparing budgets, cash flow forecasts, and financial analyses.

6. Tax and Compliance

• Maintain proper financial documentation for audit and tax purposes.
• Ensure compliance with applicable tax regulations, including VAT requirements where applicable.
• Assist with VAT return preparation and supporting documentation.
• Coordinate with external auditors and tax consultants when required.

7. Payroll and General Administration

• Assist in preparing monthly payroll, overtime, commissions, and staff advances.
• Maintain records of employee expenses and reimbursements.
• Perform bank reconciliations and monthly account closing.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial and business information.

Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED7,000.00 per month
