Job Overview

Our client in the medical devices industry, based in Menlo Park, Pretoria, is seeking a detail-oriented and organised Accountant with at least three years of relevant experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting functions, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting financial reporting and preparation.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage creditors and debtors, including invoices, reconciliations, and payments.
• Prepare monthly financial reports, management accounts, and supporting financial schedules.
• Process and maintain accurate financial transactions using Xero accounting software.
• Perform bank reconciliations and monitor outstanding customer and supplier balances.
• Assist with budgeting, cash flow monitoring, and month-end financial procedures.
• Ensure accurate record-keeping and compliance with relevant financial and tax requirements.
• Liaise with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders regarding financial queries.

Minimum Requirements

• At least 5 years’ experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role.
• Proven hands-on experience with Xero accounting software.
• Strong knowledge of creditors, debtors, reconciliations, and financial preparation.
• Good understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and numerical accuracy.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant financial tools.
