The Vedritam Group (formerly DAV Group) - Chennai was established in 1970 at Gopalapuram, Chennai, with just 50 students. Today, the Group caters to over 40,000 students across Tamil Nadu and Puducherry and has a staff strength of over 2,000, including 1,700 teachers. Four of our branches have been consistently ranked among the top 15 schools in the country.

In this context, we are looking for a qualified, detail-oriented, and responsible Accountant for Vedritam Vidyalaya, Dholera, Gujarat. The ideal candidate should have a sound understanding of accounting procedures, good computer skills, and the ability to maintain accurate financial records and handle day-to-day accounting activities.

Educational qualification

• B.Com. or an equivalent qualification in Accounting or Finance.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain daily financial transactions and accounting records.
• Handle fee collection, receipts, payments, and related documentation.
• Prepare and maintain Excel sheets, financial reports, and statements.
• Assist with bank reconciliations and monthly account summaries.
• Maintain invoices, vouchers, bills, and supporting documents.
• Assist with budgeting, audits, and other accounting activities.
• Ensure accurate record keeping and timely financial reporting.

Experience & Skills

• Good knowledge of MS Excel and accounting software.
• Understanding of basic accounting principles and financial documentation.
• Strong numerical, analytical, and organisational skills.
• Accuracy and attention to detail in financial record keeping.
• 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience preferred.
• Experience in a school or educational institution will be an added advantage.

Salary shall commensurate with experience
