Accountant

Our client is an established retailer in Singapore with a strong market presence and a longstanding reputation in the industry. As part of their ongoing business operations, they are now seeking an Accountant to join their Finance team.

Responsibilities Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for managing the full spectrum of accounting activities, including month-end closing, financial reporting, general ledger management, reconciliations and statutory compliance. You will also support the preparation of financial statements, liaise with external auditors and tax agents, and ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting. In addition, you will be involved in reviewing existing finance processes, strengthening internal controls and driving operational efficiencies.

Requirements Ideally, you hold a Degree in Accountancy or an equivalent professional qualification, with at least 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience. Prior experience in the retail or consumer goods industry would be advantageous. To succeed in this role, you will be described as meticulous, hands-on, proactive and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
