Accountant

We are working with a growing international consumer goods business seeking an experienced Accountant to support its finance function on a temporary basis.

This is a broad, hands on accounting role offering exposure to an international business operating across multiple markets, including the United States and Mexico.

The successful candidate will be comfortable managing a variety of accounting responsibilities, working independently and supporting the wider finance team.

Key Responsibilities

• Support day to day accounting activities across the business.
• Assist with month end close, journal entries and financial reporting.
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger activities.
• Prepare bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Support accounting activities relating to both US and Mexican operations.
• Assist with intercompany transactions and financial reporting requirements.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders and external accounting partners.
• Provide additional accounting and finance support as required.

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience in a broad accounting role, ideally within consumer goods, retail or a similar industry.
• Accounting experience across both the United States and Mexico is essential.
• Good understanding of general accounting principles, financial reporting and month end processes.
• Comfortable managing multiple accounting responsibilities independently.
• Strong Excel skills and experience using accounting software or ERP systems.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Spanish language skills are advantageous.
• Previous experience within an international business is beneficial.
• Availability to start at short notice is preferred.
