Accountant

About the role

The Accountant is responsible for accounting at Karofi in Indonesia, covering both day-to-day accounting and management reporting. On the accounting side, the role records journal entries, reports on receivables, and manages inventory. On the reporting side, the role prepares data for management reports, and keeps the finance Dashboard up to date.

Key responsibilities

• Record and post daily transactions accurately and on time, with complete supporting documents
• Verify invoices and supporting documents, schedule payments, and manage accounts payable
• Track receivables by customer and sales channel, prepare aging reports, follow up with customers and support collection
• Manage petty cash and reconcile cash, bank and other balances against supporting records at least monthly
• Organize and take part in periodic inventory counts, reconcile results with warehouse records
• Calculate, prepare and submit tax returns, payments and required reports to government agencies on time, including withholding taxes and VAT, in compliance with Indonesian tax regulations
• Support monthly payroll: compile payroll data, calculate PPh 21, and prepare BPJS reporting and contributions, in compliance with labor regulations
• Perform month-end closing and prepare monthly financial statements for HQ in line with Indonesian accounting standards (PSAK) and HQ reporting requirements
• Support internal and external audits and coordinate with auditors and tax authorities by providing documentation and explanations
• Prepare data and analysis for management reports on a regular schedule

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• At least 2 years of experience in accounting
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and accounting software
• Knowledge of Indonesian tax regulations (e.g., PPh 21, VAT) and Indonesian accounting standards (PSAK)
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
• Good communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia and English
• High integrity and a strong work ethic
