Accountant

• Maintain complete and accurate books of accounts for the Godhra Distribution Centre, including purchases, sales, receipts, payments, and journal entries.
• Prepare GST returns and reconciliations, and manage e-invoicing and e-way bill records in line with statutory requirements.
• Handle TDS computation, deduction, deposit, and return filing, and coordinate with external auditors and tax consultants.
• Track retailer, pharmacy, and hospital receivables; support credit control through ageing reports, collection follow-ups, and outstanding reconciliations.
• Reconcile inventory records from the Warehouse & Batch Management System with books of accounts, flagging stock variances, expiry write-offs, and damages.
• Reconcile bank accounts, cash collections, and payments on a daily and monthly basis, including cash and UPI collections from the field.
• Process brand claims, scheme and discount settlements, and credit notes with principals such as HUL, P&G, Dabur, and Himalaya.
• Manage vendor, transporter, and fleet-partner invoices, and process payments within approved timelines.
• Support working-capital reporting, including data for the lender facility, and stock statements.
• Deliver monthly MIS, including site P&L, cost per order, collections, and receivables ageing, for leadership review.
• Support the monthly close, annual audit, and budgeting, and help set up finance processes for new distribution centres.
• Work with the tech team to improve accounting workflows as the business moves from physical to digital systems.

What We're Looking For

Experience & track record

• 3–5 years of hands-on accounting experience, preferably in FMCG, pharma, or distribution businesses.
• B.Com / M.Com or equivalent; CA Inter, CMA Inter, or equivalent progress is a plus.
• Experience owning a site or branch's books end to end, including month-end close.
• Exposure to rural or semi-urban trade and credit-based retailer models is a strong plus.

Commercial & analytical

• Working knowledge of GST, TDS, and other applicable statutory compliances for distribution businesses.
• Strong understanding of receivables management, credit control, and inventory accounting, including batch and expiry-linked stock.
• Proficiency in Tally Prime or equivalent accounting software, and in Excel / Sheets for reconciliations and MIS.
• Comfort working with ERP / WMS data and dashboards.

• High integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail, with strong accountability for deadlines.
• A process-first mindset, with the ability to document and improve accounting workflows.
• Clear communication with warehouse, sales, and leadership teams, and with external auditors and consultants.
• Fluency in English and Hindi / Gujarati.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
