Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:

• Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Maintaining accurate general ledger records
• Processing payments, receipts, invoices, and journal entries
• Performing bank reconciliations
• Managing accounts payable and receivable
• Preparing budgets, cash flow forecasts, and management reports
• Filing statutory returns including VAT, WHT, PAYE, and Companies Income Tax
• Managing compliance with FIRS, LIRS, PenCom, NSITF, and ITF requirements
• Coordinating internal and external audits
• Supporting payroll processing and statutory remittances
• Maintaining fixed asset and inventory records
• Ensuring proper filing and safekeeping of financial documents

Requirements:

• HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
• Minimum of 3–5 years' hands-on accounting experience
• Experience in an FMCG company will be an added advantage
• ICAN or ACCA qualification (or part qualification with clear progression)
• Strong knowledge of Nigerian tax laws and statutory compliance
• Good understanding of IFRS and financial reporting
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Experience using accounting software such as Zoho Books, QuickBooks, Sage, or similar applications
• Excellent analytical, reconciliation, and reporting skills
• High integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail
