Accountant

Role & responsibilities

Financial Management & Operations:

Prepare daily, monthly, and annual financial statements, reports, and budgets.

Reconcile hospital bank accounts, general ledger accounts, and petty cash.

Manage Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) functions.

Healthcare Billing & Claims:

Process patient billings, insurance claims, and government healthcare reimbursements (e.g., Medicare/Medicaid/TPA).

Coordinate with insurance providers to resolve claim denials, discrepancies, and outstanding payments.

Monitor patient revenue cycles and aging accounts to optimize cash flow.

Compliance & Auditing:

Ensure full compliance with tax regulations, statutory requirements, and healthcare financial mandates.

Prepare documentation and assist internal/external auditors during annual financial audits.

Maintain precise records of inventory, medical supplies, and capital assets.

Payroll & Expenses:

Assist in processing payroll for medical staff, administrative employees, and contract workers.

Monitor operational expenses across hospital departments and report variance analysis to management.
