Accountant

Job Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented and organised Accountant to join our team in Dubai. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and day-to-day financial operations. The successful applicant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing transactions, and supporting the company's accounting activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and bookkeeping.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Prepare financial reports, statements, and account summaries.
• Perform regular bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Monitor invoices, payments, receipts, and expenses.
• Maintain organised accounting records and documentation.
• Assist with VAT returns and corporate tax compliance in accordance with UAE regulations.
• Use Microsoft Excel and accounting software to manage and analyse financial data.
• Support month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Coordinate with management regarding financial records and reporting requirements.

Requirements

• Previous experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
• Good knowledge of financial reporting, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Knowledge of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax regulations is preferred.
• Strong numerical, analytical, and organisational skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage deadlines and handle confidential financial information.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work independently and within a team.
