Accountant

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and responsible Accountant to join our Finance & Accounts team in Umm Al Quwain. The ideal candidate should have practical experience in Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), reconciliations, and general accounting operations, along with a good understanding of UAE VAT requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Payable (AP)

• Process and verify supplier invoices, purchase orders, delivery notes, and supporting documents.
• Prepare supplier payment schedules and ensure timely payments in line with approved terms.
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve invoice or payment discrepancies.
• Monitor outstanding payables and maintain accurate supplier records.

Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Prepare and issue customer invoices, credit notes, and account statements.
• Monitor outstanding customer balances and follow up on overdue payments.
• Allocate customer receipts and reconcile customer accounts.
• Prepare receivables ageing reports and coordinate with relevant departments to resolve collection issues.

General Accounting

• Record daily financial transactions and maintain accurate accounting records.
• Perform bank, supplier, customer, and general ledger reconciliations.
• Assist with month-end closing and preparation of financial reports.
• Maintain proper documentation for invoices, receipts, payments, and other transactions.
• Assist with internal and external audits as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in the UAE.
• Practical experience in both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
• Good knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and accounting principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software or ERP systems.
• Strong reconciliation, analytical, and numerical skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: AED3,500.00 - AED5,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Umm al-Quwain City: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
