Accountant

Job Purpose:

To accurately and efficiently perform daily accounting operations, prepare periodic financial reports, and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulations, supporting sound financial decision-making and the organization’s financial stability.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Record daily journal entries and financial transactions in the accounting system.
2. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement).
3. Reconcile bank statements, customer accounts, and supplier accounts.
4. Monitor expenses and revenues, ensuring accurate documentation of all financial records.
5. Prepare and submit tax returns and required reports to government authorities (e.g., VAT).
6. Assist in internal and external audit processes.
7. Maintain and organize financial documents and accounting records.
8. Follow up on accounts receivable and payable and ensure timely settlement.
9. Collaborate with other departments to provide financial support and cost analysis.
10. Comply with the organization’s approved financial policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
2. Minimum [2-3] years of experience in accounting.
3. Good knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
4. Proficiency in accounting software ( Quick-Books and ERP systems).
5. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
6. Ability to work as part of a team and under pressure.
7. Proficiency in Arabic and English.
