About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled Accountant based in the Philippines to support our Australian clients. This role requires solid hands-on experience with Xero, Australian bookkeeping standards, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. You will manage multiple client files, ensure accuracy and compliance, and act as the main point of contact for day-to-day accounting queries.

💼 What You’ll Do

• Bookkeeping & AccountingManage day-to-day accounting for multiple Australian clients using Xero.
• Process accounts payable & receivable, ensuring timely and accurate entries.
• Prepare bank, credit card & loan reconciliations.
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure proper coding of transactions.
• Process payroll using Xero Payroll or Australian payroll systems (Employment Hero, KeyPay, etc.).
• Handle BAS, IAS, GST and PAYG preparation (in coordination with Australian accountants where needed).
• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports, including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow and management reports.
• Assist with year-end reconciliations, supporting external accountants for tax and audit requirements.
• Identify opportunities to streamline client processes through Xero apps and automation.
• Maintain updated documentation of client workflows and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

💼 Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3-5+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience, preferably servicing foreign (AU/US/UK) clients.
• Advanced experience with Xero (certification is a plus).
• Strong knowledge of Australian GST, BAS, payroll, superannuation, and bookkeeping standards.
• High proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets, bank reconciliation, and financial reporting.
• Experience with Xero add-ons: Dext, ApprovalMax, Hubdoc, Spotlight, or Fathom (not required but preferred).
• Excellent English communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.

• Experience with Australian bookkeeping or practice environments.
• Experience working with Australian payroll cycles & awards.
• Worked in a BPO, shared services, or outsourced accounting setup.
