Accountant

Your Mission

The Accountant plays a vital role in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with IFRS and MAS standards. This position manages reconciliations, oversees accounting processes including consolidation reporting when required, and supports month-end financial closes. The role also coordinates and facilitates audit activities to ensure compliance and smooth completion. In addition, this position analyzes financial variances to provide valuable insights for decision-making and assists with the financial setup and integration of new products or systems. This dynamic role requires collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders to maintain the integrity of financial data and meet reporting deadlines. The position also includes performing various ad-hoc tasks as needed to support the finance team’s objectives.

Once You’re Here, You Will Be:

• Prepare financial reports in compliance with IFRS and MAS standards, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery to relevant stakeholders, and coordinate with internal and external parties as needed.
• Manage reconciliations and oversee accounting processes, including consolidation reporting when required, to ensure accurate and timely financial close.
• Coordinate and support audit processes to ensure compliance and facilitate smooth audit completion
• Analyze financial variances and provide insights to support decision-making · Assist with the financial setup and integration of new products or systems as needed
• Perform other ad-hoc tasks as assigned by the supervisor

Must-Haves:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certifications such as CPA or ACCA (Part II) are preferred.
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in accounting or financial management, preferably in microfinance, banking, or other regulated sectors.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems (e.g., Dynamics 365, SAP); familiarity with Power BI is an advantage.
• Proficient in advanced Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills, with a commitment to producing accurate and reliable work.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially for liaising with regulatory bodies.
• Well-organized, self-motivated, and able to manage time effectively, work independently, and meet deadlines.
