🔔 ABOUT THE JOB

Are you an accountant who takes ownership, works independently, and knows how to keep the numbers—and the business—on track?

We are looking for a hands-on, self-sufficient Accountant to join our team in Glyfada and take responsibility for the day-to-day accounting and tax compliance of our business. This is an opportunity for an experienced professional who can manage accounting processes from start to finish, navigate Greek regulatory requirements with confidence, and proactively identify and resolve issues.

Working closely with senior leadership, external accountants, and relevant authorities, you will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring regulatory compliance, and strengthening the financial foundations of a growing international real estate development business.

📝 **WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:**

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including bookkeeping, trial balance maintenance, and analytical ledger reconciliations.
• Prepare and execute weekly payments, ensuring timely processing, accuracy, and completion of bank reconciliations.
• Prepare and submit VAT declarations, including VIES and recapitulative (listing) statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable deadlines.
• Perform myDATA (AADE) reconciliations and ensure consistency between accounting records and platform submissions, proactively identifying and resolving discrepancies.
• Manage payroll processing and complete all related statutory filings, including ERGANI forms and APD submissions, in compliance with Greek labour and social security legislation.
• Calculate, prepare, and submit withholding tax declarations, including FMY, 20% and 3% withholding taxes, and 5% dividend tax.
• Independently handle GEMI-related filings, including capital injections, certificates, and other corporate compliance obligations.
• Coordinate directly with external accountants and liaise with relevant authorities, including AADE, EFKA, and GEMI, to ensure timely submissions and effective resolution of accounting and compliance matters.

⭐ WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR?

• 3+ years of experience in Greek accounting and tax compliance
• Good knowledge of Greek GAAP, VAT, payroll, and local reporting standards
• Experience with Greek regulatory processes (AADE, EFKA, GEMI)
• Fluency in Greek and English
• Familiarity with real estate development or construction is a plus
• Tech-savvy with experience using accounting software (e.g., Pylon, HRM Premium).
• Proficient in MS Office
• Highly organized, proactive, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
