About the role

A cross-border accounting & tax consultancy firm serving Hong Kong and Mainland China enterprises is recruiting a fully qualified Hong Kong CPA holding a practising certificate with audit signing authority to take charge of client audit, full-set accounting, cross-border tax planning and risk control work.

Key responsibilities

• Keep up-to-date with Hong Kong Inland Revenue Department (IRD) tax ordinances, Mainland China national & local tax laws and latest policy updates; analyse the business impact of new tax regulations for clients
• Provide one-stop professional services including tax incentive consultation, daily tax compliance operation guidance and comprehensive cross-border tax planning for Hong Kong & China-based corporate clients
• Oversee clients' end-to-end accounting work covering tax compliance, cost accounting, accounts receivable & payable management; prepare timely financial statements in accordance with HKFRS and relevant statutory standards
• Review all financial documents for regulatory compliance, supervise and control the overall quality of audit engagements with valid signing rights
• Assess financial and compliance risks for clients as per engagement requirements; design customised project work plans
• Conduct professional training for project team members on accounting, audit and tax compliance standards
• Complete statutory audit, tax and business advisory assignments independently; properly sort, file and archive all engagement working papers
• Coordinate seamless cross-department & cross-border project handovers, provide ongoing back-up support for ongoing client projects, and handle ad-hoc financial & compliance tasks as required

About you

• Fully qualified Hong Kong CPA with valid Practising Certificate and official audit signing authority (must hold full signing rights for Hong Kong statutory audit reports)
