About the Role

We are looking for an experienced, highly organized and detail-oriented Accountant to take responsibility for the company's day-to-day accounting and financial operations in Cyprus.

The successful candidate will work independently, in close cooperation with the Group Finance team, commercial teams, management and external accounting and audit partners.

This is a hands-on position combining bookkeeping, financial control, cash-flow management, financial reporting and administrative coordination within a dynamic international aviation business.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the company's day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting activities.
• Prepare, issue and record customer invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
• Review, record and reconcile supplier invoices and payments.
• Perform customer, supplier, bank and intercompany reconciliations.
• Monitor accounts receivable, outstanding balances and customer collections.
• Manage bank transactions, payment preparation and cash-flow monitoring.
• Prepare monthly accounting reports, financial analyses and supporting schedules.
• Support monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing processes.
• Coordinate VAT, tax and statutory reporting requirements with local professional advisers.
• Work closely with external auditors and accountants in preparing annual financial statements and supporting documentation.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure compliance with applicable accounting and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate financial matters with the company's bank and local corporate-services provider.
• Support the Group Finance team with management reporting and financial information.

Candidate Profile

• Based in Cyprus with an unrestricted right to work in Cyprus.
• At least 3–5 years of relevant accounting or bookkeeping experience.
• Strong knowledge of bookkeeping, financial reconciliations and accounting procedures.
• Familiarity with Cyprus VAT, tax and local statutory reporting requirements.
• Experience in monthly closing and financial reporting.
• Excellent organizational skills, with a structured and methodical approach to work.
• High level of accuracy and strong attention to detail.
• Strong computer skills and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Quick learner with the ability to easily adapt to new software and accounting systems.
• Experience with PRIORITY ERP systems.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities and take full ownership of responsibilities.
• Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
• Availability and flexibility during the main summer season, from May through September.
• Experience in aviation, travel, international services or multinational companies would be an advantage.
