Accountant

Job Overview

As an Accountant, you’ll keep financial records accurate, organized, and ready to support sound business decisions. You’ll manage accounting activities, review transactions, and help maintain reliable financial reporting. Your impact: Accurate reconciliations and reporting help colleagues make informed decisions and support dependable service for customers and stakeholders.

Duties

• Prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger accounting using applicable accounting systems and financial software.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts, review accounts payable and accounts receivable, and support accounts receivable management.
• Assist with budgeting, account analysis, credit analysis, and financial reporting in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
• Enter and verify data, maintain bookkeeping records, and handle confidential information with care.
• Use spreadsheets and Excel data analysis to review financial information and resolve discrepancies.
• Review employment documents for clients and prepare payroll for clients.
• Prepare sales tax reports for clients.

Requirements

• Accounting and finance experience, with knowledge of corporate accounting, financial concepts, numeracy, math, debits and credits, double-entry bookkeeping, and account reconciliation.
• Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, experience with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, is useful.
• Experience with accounting systems or platforms such as EasyAccounting is preferred.
• Strong customer service, data entry, and 10-key typing skills; able to apply financial acumen to accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliation tasks.
• Must be bilingual (speaking and writing)
• Must be able to work independently and as a team when needed.
• Must have strong work ethics.

Pay: $13.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
