Accountant

Job Summary

We’re seeking an Accountant who brings accuracy, sound judgment, and momentum to day-to-day financial operations. You’ll support corporate accounting through general ledger activity, reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and reporting. You’ll use accounting systems and spreadsheets to keep records organized, analyze financial data, and handle confidential information responsibly. Duties

• Prepare journal entries; manage debits and credits, double-entry bookkeeping, bookkeeping, and general ledger accounting.
• Reconcile balance sheets and accounts; perform account analysis, general ledger reconciliation, and accounts receivable management.
• Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll management, budgeting, tax work, and data entry.
• Apply generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and, as relevant, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls; support corporate, governmental, or nonprofit accounting needs.
• Use financial software and accounting systems to maintain records, analyze spreadsheets, and prepare reports.

Qualifications

• Accounting and finance experience, with knowledge of accounting, financial concepts, numeracy, math, and financial acumen.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, Excel data analysis, and accounting software; familiarity with QuickBooks, Quicken, Sage, or Xero is useful.
• Familiarity with systems such as Workday, Paychex, ADP, Kronos, UltiPro, PeopleSoft, or Ceridian is preferred.
• Public accounting, technical accounting, financial services, credit analysis, customer service, or 10-key typing experience is helpful.
• Demonstrated care with confidential information and accuracy in account reconciliation, payroll, and financial records.

Pay: $62,500.00 - $75,300.00 per year
