Accountant

The Senior Accountant supports the Controllers in delivering an accurate, timely monthly close and audit-ready financial statements across Reliant Healthcare, a private equity–backed specialty healthcare platform. Reliant operates three segments: Home Infusion (Reliant Home Infusion and Care Fusion Rx), Ambulatory Infusion Centers, and Contract Pharmacy/340B. The role owns core close deliverables, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and flux analysis, across multiple legal entities. The Senior Accountant is expected to work independently in a remote setting, meet close deadlines with minimal supervision, and produce support that withstands review by Controllers, external auditors, and lender reporting.

Education Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.

Experience Requirements

• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, including ownership of month-end close deliverables.
• Hands-on NetSuite experience.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Prepares monthly balance sheet reconciliations for assigned accounts.
• Assists the Controllers in preparing monthly financial statements and the management reporting package.
• Prepares PBC schedules and supporting documentation for the annual PwC audit and responds to auditor requests.
• Manages sales tax preparation and filings.
• Uses NetSuite for daily accounting work and helps improve workflows, saved searches, and reports.
• Identifies opportunities to shorten the close, reduce manual work, and strengthen documentation.
• Updates accounting SOPs and close checklists as processes change.
• Performs ad hoc analysis and special projects as assigned by the Controllers.

Month-End Close

• Prepares and posts recurring and non-recurring journal entries, including accruals, prepaids, depreciation, and intercompany entries, with complete support attached in the ERP.
• Completes assigned close tasks by the deadlines on the monthly close calendar.
• Maintains supporting schedules for prepaid expenses, accrued liabilities, fixed assets, and debt.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP, including revenue recognition under ASC 606, accruals, and fixed asset accounting.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including lookups, pivot tables, and building reconciliation schedules.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines during close.
• Self-directed and accountable in a fully remote environment, with consistent availability during business hours and close periods.
• Communicates clearly in writing and verbally with Controllers, operations staff, and external auditors, including via Microsoft Teams and Outlook
• Handles confidential financial and patient-related information with discretion.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the judgment to know when to escalate an issue.
• Work Environment
• Fully remote position. Requires a secure, reliable home workspace and high-speed internet.
• Extended hours may be required during month-end close and the annual audit.
• Occasional travel to Reliant locations may be requested.
