Accountant

Job Overview

As an Accountant, you’ll keep financial records accurate, organized, and ready to support sound business decisions. You’ll manage accounting activities across the general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable, applying accounting principles and established controls. This role suits someone who brings care to detailed work, communicates clearly, and handles confidential information responsibly.

Duties

• Prepare journal entries, maintain general ledger records, and support double-entry bookkeeping in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts, review account activity, and investigate discrepancies.
• Process accounts payable and receivable, perform data entry, and support customer service inquiries related to transactions.
• Assist with budgeting, credit analysis, and financial reporting using spreadsheets and Excel data analysis.

Skills

• Essential: Accounting and finance experience, accounting, bookkeeping, numeracy, math, debits and credits, account analysis, account reconciliation, general ledger accounting and reconciliation, accounts receivable management, and confidential information handling.
• Essential: Microsoft Office, spreadsheets, financial software, accounting software and systems, data entry, and 10-key typing.
• Preferred: Corporate, public, governmental, or technical accounting experience; knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls.
• Preferred: Familiarity with Workday, Paychex, QuickBooks, Quicken, ADP, Kronos, UltiPro, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, or Ceridian.

Pay: $66,900.00 - $80,700.00 per year
