About the role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our team on a contract basis for maternity cover until April 2027 in the Tai Seng North-East Region. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, and compliance requirements of the organisation.

Key responsibilities

1. Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger accounts, journal entries, and reconciliations
2. Prepare monthly payroll and CPF filing for office employees
3. Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, ensuring timely and accurate payment processing
4. Conduct bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly
5. Prepare tax compliance documents and support tax filing requirements
6. Maintain detailed financial records and documentation to ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements
7. Collaborate with internal teams to gather financial information and provide ad-hoc reporting as needed

What we're looking for

• Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in financial accounting and reporting roles
• Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; must have experience with SAP
• Solid understanding of accounting principles, standards, and financial reporting requirements
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies
• Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
• High degree of integrity and commitment to maintaining confidentiality
