Accountant, Finance

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accountant to support the day-to-day accounting operations and ensure the integrity of financial records and systems. The successful candidate will play a key role in financial reporting, month-end closing activities, statutory compliance, audit preparation, and business partnering across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage fixed asset records, monthly schedules, and annual asset verification exercises.
• Perform general ledger postings, accruals, provisions, and period-end closing activities.
• Support monthly financial closing processes, including production and sales order settlements.
• Prepare monthly controlling and management reports.
• Assist in quarterly income tax provisions and coordinate with tax advisors and internal stakeholders.
• Prepare audit schedules, financial statements, and supporting documentation for statutory and internal audits.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and corporate secretaries.
• Maintain vendor master data and ensure data accuracy and compliance.
• Support submissions to regulatory authorities, including Department of Statistics reporting.
• Participate in process improvements and continuous enhancement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Good knowledge of Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS), IFRS, and taxation requirements.
• Experience in financial reporting, general ledger, and month-end closing activities.
• SAP knowledge will be an added advantage.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Meticulous, analytical, and able to work independently.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Able to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities effectively.
