Accountant – Freight Forwarding (Arabic Speaker Only)

Arabian Tide Shipping FZE is seeking a qualified and experienced Arabic-speaking Accountant to join our team in the UAE. The ideal candidate must have strong expertise in accounting, UAE tax compliance, inventory accounting, and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting operations, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger, and bank reconciliations.
• Handle UAE Federal Tax Authority (FTA) compliance, including VAT return preparation and filing, Excise Tax filing, and adherence to UAE tax regulations.
• Maintain accurate financial records for excise goods, designated zone inventory, and warehouse operations.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, reconciliations, and management reports.
• Monitor inventory accounting, stock valuation, and stock control.
• Coordinate with operations teams to ensure accurate inventory and shipment records.
• Manage accounting documentation for Bills of Entry (BOE), customs transactions, stock transfers, and excise movements.
• Support FTA audits and inspections by maintaining complete and accurate documentation.
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT, Excise Tax, and applicable accounting standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 1–4 years of accounting experience in the UAE.
• Mandatory: Fluent in Arabic and English. Arabic-speaking candidates only.
• Proven hands-on experience with UAE FTA regulations, VAT return preparation and filing, and Excise Tax filing.
• Strong knowledge of excise goods, designated zone operations, inventory accounting, and stock control.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to maintain confidentiality.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in freight forwarding, shipping, logistics, or warehouse services.
• Knowledge of customs documentation, BOE procedures, and warehouse operations.
• Experience handling excise goods within designated zones.

Important: Only Arabic-speaking candidates with relevant UAE accounting experience and hands-on knowledge of FTA compliance, VAT filing, and Excise Tax procedures will be considered.
