Accountant- II

About the Role

Empire Roofing Today is looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant II to support our accounting and financial operations. The ideal candidate will help maintain accurate financial records, process transactions, reconcile accounts, and assist with financial reporting while ensuring accounting procedures are followed accurately and efficiently.

Responsibilities

--Maintain and update accurate financial records and accounting information.

--Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.

--Prepare and reconcile bank, credit card, and general ledger accounts.

--Review invoices, payments, receipts, and other financial documents for accuracy.

--Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close activities.

--Prepare financial reports, spreadsheets, and account summaries as needed.

--Monitor customer accounts, outstanding balances, and payments.

--Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.

--Identify discrepancies and research accounting errors or unusual transactions.

--Maintain organized and confidential financial records.

--Assist with audits and provide supporting documentation when requested.

--Work with other departments to resolve billing and accounting-related questions.

--Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications

--Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.

--2+ years of accounting or related financial experience preferred.

--Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.

--Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and general ledger activities.

--Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

--Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software.

--Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

--Ability to handle confidential financial information professionally.

--Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

--Experience in the roofing or construction industry is a plus, but not required.

Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
