Accountant (import/export)

Role & responsibilities

Job Description:

Maintain and reconcile general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and bank transactions

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and MIS reports

Ensure timely compliance with statutory requirements including GST, TDS, and income tax filings

Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis

Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external auditors for smooth financial operations

Monitor fixed assets, depreciation schedules, and inventory accounting

Maintain documentation for financial records and assist in process improvements

Sound understanding of Indian accounting standards, taxation laws, and financial controls

Proficiency in Tally, Excel, and exposure to ERP systems

Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple deadlines
