Accountant – Infrastructure / Building Construction

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Accountant with 8–10 years of relevant accounting experience. Experience in Infrastructure, Building Construction, Real Estate, or Project Accounting will be preferred.

The role involves day-to-day accounting, project-wise and company-wise accounts, GST and TDS compliance, contractor and vendor accounting, reconciliations, MIS reporting, payroll accounting, and monthly closing activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping activities.
• Maintain purchase, sales, expense, and journal entries.
• Process and verify contractor and subcontractor bills.
• Manage contractor and vendor payments.
• Maintain site-wise and project-wise expense records.
• Track project costs, expenses, and financial transactions.
• Maintain project-wise and company-wise accounts.
• Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
• Prepare vendor and customer reconciliations.
• Prepare Bank Reconciliation Statements (BRS).
• Calculate and manage TDS payments and returns.
• Handle GST compliance and GST return-related activities.
• Manage payroll and salary accounting.
• Prepare monthly MIS reports and accounting statements.
• Assist with monthly closing of accounts.
• Assist with balance sheet preparation and finalization.
• Coordinate with CA, auditors, and financial consultants.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documents.
• Handle accounting operations using Tally ERP / Tally Prime.
• Prepare accounting reports using MS Excel.
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of financial records and reports.

Required Qualifications

• 8–10 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping.
• Good knowledge of GST and TDS.
• Hands-on experience with Tally ERP / Tally Prime.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel and accounting reports.
• Experience in contractor, subcontractor, and vendor accounting.
• Experience with project-wise or site-wise accounting.
• Good reconciliation and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple accounts and projects independently.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Commerce graduate or relevant accounting qualification preferred.
