About the Role

Region IV Area Agency on Aging (RIV AAA) is seeking an Accountant to support accurate, timely financial accounting and reporting. This role helps maintain reliable financial records, supports month-end close and reporting activities, and contributes to compliance with accounting and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare account reconciliations and general journal entries and support month-end general ledger and trial balance review.
• Assist with financial statements, financial reporting, budget updates, grant reporting, and related regulatory reporting.
• Maintain accurate accounting-system data and clear audit trails across assigned fiscal accounts.
• Analyze financial information, identify discrepancies or trends, and support compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
• Work with internal staff, auditors, vendors, and regulatory partners to support accurate financial records and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• Accounting experience involving reconciliations, journal entries, general ledger activity, and financial reporting.
• Ability to accurately analyze financial data and maintain organized, auditable records.
• Experience with fund accounting or governmental reporting is preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics or comparable computerized accounting systems is preferred.

Pay: $23.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25.0 per week
