Financial Accountant / Accountant

Role Overview:

The Financial Accountant will play a key role in supporting the Finance Manager in managing the company’s day-to-day financial operations. This role requires strong attention to detail, accuracy in financial recording, and the ability to handle multiple accounting functions in a fast-paced environment.

You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring timely processing of transactions, and supporting overall financial reporting and analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Accounts Payable (AP) Management

• Record and process supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner
• Monitor due dates and ensure proper scheduling of payments
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies

2. Accounts Receivable (AR) Management

• Record customer invoices and payments
• Monitor outstanding receivables and assist in collections follow-ups
• Ensure proper documentation and accurate aging of receivables

3. Shipment Cost Recording/Inventory

• Accurately record freight, shipping, and landed costs
• Allocate costs properly to inventory or cost of goods sold (COGS)
• Coordinate with operations/logistics for cost verification

4. Bill Creation & Documentation

• Create bills in the accounting system (e.g., QuickBooks or similar)
• Ensure completeness and accuracy of supporting documents (POs, invoices, receipts)
• Maintain organized financial records for audit and review purposes

5. Bank Reconciliation

• Perform regular bank reconciliations (daily/weekly/monthly)
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies between bank and book balances
• Ensure completeness and accuracy of cash records

6. Selling Price Updates

• Update product pricing in coordination with management
• Ensure pricing changes are properly reflected in systems (e.g., Shopify, inventory tools)
• Support margin analysis by validating cost vs. selling price

7. General Finance Support

• Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes
• Support financial reporting and audit requirements
• Perform other accounting and finance-related tasks as assigned by the Finance Manager

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, or Management Accounting
• CPA is a plus but not required
• At least 1–3 years of accounting experience (preferred)
• Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles (AP, AR, reconciliation)
• Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) is an advantage
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets
• High level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail
• Strong communication and time management skills
