Accountant - Real Estate

We are seeking a detail-oriented Property Accountant to support the financial operations of a portfolio of real estate and property management clients. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Perform bank and account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Analyze financial results, variances, and budget-to-actual reports.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and established accounting policies.
• Maintain accurate supporting documentation and accounting records.
• Work closely with clients and internal teams to support timely financial reporting.
• Identify accounting issues and recommend appropriate resolutions.
• Meet recurring reporting deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in property or real estate accounting.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting, reconciliations, and accounting principles.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Professional communication skills in both English and Spanish.
• High attention to detail and ability to handle confidential financial information.
