Accountant - Receivable

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant – Receivables to manage and monitor the company’s accounts receivable activities. The candidate will be responsible for customer ledger management, payment follow-ups, reconciliation, outstanding monitoring, and maintaining accurate accounting records.

The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of ERP software, Tally, and Advanced Excel, along with good analytical and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain customer accounts and receivable ledgers.
• Monitor customer outstanding balances and ensure timely collection of payments.
• Follow up with customers regarding overdue payments and outstanding invoices.
• Prepare and share outstanding statements, ageing reports, and collection reports.
• Perform regular customer ledger reconciliation and resolve discrepancies.
• Verify invoices, receipts, credit notes, debit notes, and payment entries.
• Record and update customer payments accurately in the accounting/ERP system.
• Coordinate with the Sales Team regarding customer outstanding payments and collection status.
• Assist in resolving customer account and billing-related queries.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly receivables and collection reports.
• Monitor overdue accounts and escalate critical outstanding cases to management.
• Ensure proper documentation and maintenance of all receivable-related records.
• Assist in month-end closing and reconciliation activities.
• Support internal and statutory audits by providing required documents and reports.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of accounting entries and maintain proper financial records.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce / Finance / Accounting or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in Accounts Receivable / Finance & Accounts.
• Strong practical knowledge of ERP accounting software.
• Good working knowledge of Tally / Tally Prime.
• Advanced Excel skills are mandatory.
• Good knowledge of Excel functions such as VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, SUMIF/SUMIFS, IF, filters, sorting, and data analysis.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and receivables processes.
• Good reconciliation and analytical skills.
• Good communication and follow-up skills.
• Ability to work with large volumes of financial data with accuracy.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in a manufacturing / trading / consumer durables company will be an advantage.
• Experience handling receivables for multiple customers and locations.

Pay: From ₹25,000.00 per month
