Accountant / Senior Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a high-calibre Accountant / Senior Accountant to join our Finance Team at a well-established environmental services company operating a Waste Transfer Station in Hong Kong and committed to sustainable waste management solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Handle full set of accounts and daily accounting operations.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial analysis in a timely and accurate manner.
• Liaise closely with operational departments on cost monitoring, billing and contract-related matters.
• Assist in annual budgeting, forecasting and cost control exercises.
• Coordinate statutory audits and tax compliance matters.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and company policies.
• Assist in group consolidation process.
• Perform ad hoc assignments as required.

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related disciplines.
• Qualified or partly qualified member of HKICPA, ACCA or equivalent is preferred.
• Accountant: Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Senior Accountant: Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Experience in environmental services, logistics, infrastructure, engineering or related industries is an advantage.
• Sound knowledge of Hong Kong accounting standards and taxation requirements.
• Proficient in ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented and able to work independently.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese.
