Accountant, Statutory Reporting

Experience Required

• Minimum of 2 to 3 years of related experience
• Experience with audit firms preferred

Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare adjusting journal entries during month-end accounting close procedures.
• Prepare timely financial reports and divisional analysis.
• Review and reconcile profit and loss accounts.
• Coordinate transactions with other departments to ensure accuracy of information for financial reporting analysis.
• Compute tax dues and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual BIR tax returns, including 1601E, 1601F, VAT, Income Tax, Percentage Taxes, and other payment forms.
• Prepare required attachments to BIR returns, including alphalists and listing reinforcements.
• Adhere to BIR, PEZA, and SEC statutory requirements.
• Stay updated with BIR issuances and pronouncements; involvement in BIR tax audit procedures is preferred.
• Assist in preparing audited financial statements.
• Coordinate requirements with external auditors during interim and annual audits, including providing audit schedules and supporting documentation.

Key Competencies and Qualifications

• Graduate of BS in Accountancy
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) highly preferred
• Considerable knowledge of financial and statutory accounting principles and practices
• Ability to comprehend complex financial information
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Highly organized and able to meet tight deadlines under pressure
• Able to work efficiently and effectively with minimal supervision
• Proficient in Microsoft/Office 365, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Adequate knowledge of accounting systems and software
• Strong work ethic and ability to work extended hours when necessary

Pay: Php30,000.00 - Php35,000.00 per month
