What they need
Dubai, Jebel Ali Free Zone (on site) · Full-time (45 hours per week) · Finance & Accounting
Do you like it when a set of books closes exactly on time, down to the last line? Do you spot the one figure that does not quite add up before anyone else does? And would you rather set up a clean chart of accounts on day one than untangle a messy one later? Then this role is built for you.
Behind this role stands the Görrissen Group:
a family-run renewable energy company from Northern Germany, founded in 2019. With more than 150 people at our headquarters in Neu Hörup, Schleswig-Holstein, and further sites across Germany, we are an integrated energy partner for photovoltaics, heat pumps, battery storage and EV charging, from planning to installation, maintenance and monitoring.
We doubled in size within a single year and installed more than 4,000 solar and heat pump systems in 2025.
We are now building a new site in Dubai, Jebel Ali Free Zone, with a German leadership team on site and close collaboration with our group finance team in Germany.
You are the steady link between the books of our Dubai entity and group finance in Germany. Everyone on both sides can count on your figures.
- Bookkeeping, start to finish: You carry full-cycle bookkeeping for the Dubai company, from the first entry to the trial balance.
- Payables, receivables, bank: You manage accounts payable and receivable and keep bank reconciliations current and correct.
- Month-end closing: You run a structured, documented closing process on a fixed schedule, every month.
- VAT and corporate tax: You ensure UAE VAT and corporate tax compliance, including the free-zone requirements of JAFZA.
- Payroll and costs: You prepare payroll and keep an accurate view of expenses and costs.
- Group reporting and audit: You deliver figures to Germany in the agreed format on the agreed date, and keep documentation in a state where an audit is a formality, not a scramble.
Your first three months
Your first three months are about setting up the accounting properly and establishing a reliable routine. By the end of them:
- The accounting setup is in place, with a clear chart of accounts and a documented closing checklist.
- Your first month-end closings, including the reporting to Germany, have landed on time.
- The VAT and corporate tax processes are mapped and documented, and open questions are clarified.
You would rather get a number right once than explain it twice. You stay calm when a deadline is close, and you keep colleagues informed before they have to ask.
- Education: A degree in accounting, finance or a related field.
- Experience: Around three or more years of accounting experience in the UAE.
- Regulatory knowledge: Sound knowledge of UAE VAT, corporate tax and IFRS. Free-zone experience is a plus.
- Tools: Confident with accounting software and very strong in Excel.
- Qualification: ACCA or CMA is a plus.
- Language: Excellent English. German is a plus for group reporting.
We offer everything that makes a move to Dubai work in practice, and a place where you can grow professionally.
- Time off and home: 30 days of annual leave and an annual return flight home.
- Housing allowance: Support towards your accommodation in Dubai.
- Visa, handled: Your UAE employment visa and Emirates ID, arranged and covered by the company.
- Health cover: Comprehensive health insurance.
- Leadership on site: A German leadership team in Dubai and a structured onboarding, so you always know what is expected.
- A fresh start: A new office and a finance function you help build from the very first entry.
- Room to grow: Working between a German company and production partners in China gives you international experience, new skills and broader perspectives. We actively support your professional development.
We make our decision based on your actual work, not on buzzwords. Please send us:
- Your CV
- Two examples of reports, closing checklists or process documentation you have built or improved (anonymised, no confidential data), each with a short note on your personal contribution
- Your salary expectation
- Your earliest start date or notice period
- Your current visa status
Start: as soon as possible, ideally 1 November 2026.
We welcome applications regardless of nationality, gender, religion or background. We use your data solely for this application process.
