Accountant I, Accounting — GLSS Global Intercompany

We are looking for a detail-oriented accounting professional to join our Global Intercompany team. Reporting to the GLSS Supervisor, Accounting, this role is responsible for ensuring intercompany transactions are accurately recorded, reconciliations are completed on time, and assigned processes remain compliant with SOX controls. This is a great opportunity for someone with shared services experience who enjoys working cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and ensure open items are resolved timely
• Maintain general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries for intercompany transactions
• Support intercompany accounting activities including cross charges, loans, interest, settlements, and accruals
• Generate and distribute accurate intercompany reports to stakeholders
• Analyze intercompany AR/AP, loans, and interest balances, and resolve variances including foreign exchange differences
• Review financial reports and explain account variances
• Partner with cross-functional teams including Finance, Treasury, Payroll, AP, AR, HR, and Controllership
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, efficiency, and compliance
• Provide support for internal and external audits as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy required
• Minimum 3 years of Finance or Accounting experience
• At least 1–2 years of intercompany accounting experience, preferably in shared services
• Strong knowledge of General Ledger, reconciliations, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, and Intercompany accounting
• Experience with month-end close and SOX compliance
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills
• Self-motivated team player with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
