Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and energetic Accountant/Bookkeeper to join our dynamic finance team. Responsibilities

• Perform daily bookkeeping tasks including data entry, journal entries, and account reconciliations using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or PeopleSoft.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections while maintaining accurate records.
• Reconcile balance sheets and general ledger accounts regularly to verify accuracy and identify discrepancies.
• Prepare financial reports, analyze account activity, and assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Support compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act), and governmental accounting standards.
• Handle confidential financial information with integrity and discretion while maintaining data security protocols.
• Assist in budgeting, financial analysis, and variance reporting to support strategic decision-making.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in accounting or bookkeeping roles with strong knowledge of accounting systems such as QuickBooks, Workday, ADP, Kronos, UltiPro, Ceridian, Sage, or Xero.
• Familiarity with technical accounting concepts including journal entries, debits & credits, account analysis, and balance sheet reconciliation.
• Knowledge of GAAP standards as well as governmental or non-profit accounting practices is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel for data analysis and spreadsheet management.
• Strong numeracy skills with the ability to perform detailed account analysis and data entry accurately.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently.
• Effective communication skills for collaborating across teams and supporting customer service initiatives related to financial inquiries.
