About the role

We are seeking a Finance/Accounting Officer to join Fronius Australia's dynamic team at our Tullamarine, Victoria location.

This is a full-time position that supports the day-to-day financial operations of the business. A key aspect of the role is ensuring the smooth running of the accounting functions, including end of month and responsibility for payroll processing.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day finance operations of the business, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, banking activities, debtor management, supplier payments, and maintenance of accurate financial records and ledgers.
• Support month-end and year-end accounting processes through the preparation of reconciliations, general ledger entries, financial reports, fixed asset register maintenance, and assistance with budgeting, statutory reporting, and annual audit requirements.
• Assist with payroll administration and provide support for BAS, ATO, and FBT reporting, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory obligations.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers, customers, business units, senior leadership, and external stakeholders by responding to enquiries, resolving account issues, and ensuring timely follow-up of outstanding matters.
• Contribute to the effective operation of the Finance Department by administering financial control procedures, maintaining documentation, and providing general finance and administrative support as required.

What we're looking for

• A qualification in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline is desirable, together with a minimum of three years' experience in a similar finance or accounting role.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills, with the ability to identify discrepancies, investigate anomalies, and maintain a high level of accuracy across financial transactions and reporting.
• Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships and engage confidently with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, particularly Excel and Word, along with the ability to effectively manage competing priorities, work independently, and contribute positively within a collaborative team environment.
• A proactive, adaptable, and flexible approach to work, with strong organisational skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes.
