Accounting Analyst

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Accounting Analyst to assist their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting pay rate of $30.00 to $40.00 per hour.

Job Responsibilities

• Review project documentation and financial records to ensure accounting information is complete, accurate, and properly recorded.
• Analyze project costs, budgets, and expenditures to support financial reporting and operational decision making.
• Prepare journal entries, account analyses, and financial adjustments related to project and fixed asset accounting activities.
• Maintain fixed asset records by identifying asset additions, retirements, and other changes requiring accounting updates.
• Support special projects, reporting requests, and process improvement initiatives while ensuring compliance with accounting procedures.

Requirements

• A Bachelor degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Bring experience in construction accounting, project accounting, utility accounting, or a similar operational accounting environment.
• Demonstrate the ability to review project records and supporting documents to determine proper accounting treatment.
• Possess experience working with enterprise resource planning systems and financial reporting tools.
• Maintain advanced Excel skills and the ability to perform detailed financial analysis and reporting.

• Apply strong analytical and problem solving skills to evaluate project costs, accounting records, and financial data.
• Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail when reviewing documentation, preparing journal entries, and maintaining asset records.
• Communicate effectively with accounting teams, project personnel, and business stakeholders.
• Maintain strong organizational skills while managing multiple assignments, deadlines, and reporting requirements.
• Bring experience with fixed asset accounting, project closeout activities, financial reconciliations, or large scale accounting systems considered beneficial.
