Accounting Analyst

About the role

Contemporain Foods Inc. is seeking a dedicated Accounting Analyst to join our Finance team on a full-time basis in Pasay City, Metro Manila. This role is instrumental in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing valuable financial insights to support strategic decision-making across the organisation. As an Accounting Analyst, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations and contributing to the financial health of our growing food manufacturing and distribution business.

Key responsibilities

• Recording and reconciling financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries

• Conducting monthly account reconciliations and investigating discrepancies or variances

• Processing invoices, expense reports and reimbursements with accuracy and timeliness

• Assisting with the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports and statements

• Supporting the audit process by gathering documentation and providing requested financial information

• Maintaining accurate and organized accounting records and documentation

• Assisting with bank reconciliations and cash flow management activities

• Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance accounting efficiency and accuracy

• Collaborating with other departments to ensure financial data accuracy and resolve accounting queries

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel, with the ability to work with complex spreadsheets and financial models
• Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and Philippine accounting standards
• Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
• 1-3 years of accounting or financial reporting experience in a similar role
