Accounting Analyst

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Operations Analyst to support financial processing, billing, payment applications, account reconciliation, and administrative accounting functions. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and organizational skills, proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and the ability to manage multiple systems and tasks while maintaining accuracy and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Process disbursements, billing, payment applications, and administrative accounting reports or consolidated statements.
• Analyze and maintain account information, client records, and insured records.
• Prepare and review accounting reports, including variance analyses, disbursement reports, billing statements, and financial summaries.
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of payments, billings, and financial statements.
• Perform trend and variance analysis for key accounts and financial reports.
• Support the development, implementation, and documentation of accounting policies, procedures, and process improvements.
• Maintain compliance with corporate policies, carrier agreements, internal controls, SOX procedures, SSAE 16 requirements, tax regulations, and applicable US GAAP and statutory requirements.
• Utilize multiple applications and systems to complete daily accounting and administrative tasks efficiently.
• Collaborate with team members to resolve discrepancies and improve operational processes.

Required Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of relevant professional experience.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data processing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple systems, priorities, and deadlines effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in finance, accounting, billing, payment processing, or financial operations.
• Experience with Microsoft Access databases.
• Familiarity with processing systems and workflow management applications.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Experience preparing financial reports, analyzing variances, and identifying process improvements.
