Accounting & Operations Controller

Key Responsibilities

Accounting

• Oversee the monthly close process and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and chart of accounts.
• Monitor cash flow, bank accounts, and banking activities.
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and cash management processes.
• Establish, maintain, and improve internal controls and accounting procedures.
• Support leadership with financial analysis, reporting, and special projects as needed.

Human Resources & Administration

• Oversee payroll administration, employee onboarding/offboarding, and personnel record management.
• Coordinate annual health insurance renewals, open enrollment activities, and employee benefit changes.
• Manage business insurance policies, including annual renewals and claims administration.
• Maintain corporate records, business licenses, and banking relationships.
• Assist with vendor agreements, lease administration, and general office operations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a similar Controller, Accounting Manager, or related role.
• Experience managing payroll and HR administration functions.
• Advanced proficiency with QuickBooks Online (Power User level preferred).
• Strong understanding and hands-on experience with month-end close processes.
• Excellent customer, vendor, and internal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
