Accounting Assistant

Key Responsibilities

• Data Entry: Enter daily financial transactions, receipts, and journal entries accurately into accounting systems.
• Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process vendor invoices, issue client billings, and track incoming and outgoing payments.
• Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements, credit card records, and expense reports to spot and fix discrepancies.
• Record Keeping: Organize and maintain physical and digital financial files for smooth auditing and reporting.
• Communication: Answer vendor and client questions regarding billing statuses, past-due payments, or account errors.
• General Support: Assist with payroll processing, petty cash management, and month-end financial closing

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Education: A degree or certification in accounting, finance, or bookkeeping is preferred.
• Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in spreadsheet programs (Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets) and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite).
• Attention to Detail: High accuracy level to prevent data entry mistakes and catch financial errors.
• Communication: Clear verbal and written skills for interacting with coworkers, clients, and suppliers.
• Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks and meet fast-paced financial deadlines.
