About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our accounting team on a full-time basis in Silang, Cavite. In this role, you will provide essential support to our accounting department, contributing to the smooth operation of our financial processes and ensuring accurate record-keeping for the homeowners association. This position is integral to maintaining our financial integrity and supporting the broader operational objectives of Ayala Westgrove Heights.

Key responsibilities

1. Processing and recording accounts payable transactions, including invoice verification, coding, and entry into accounting systems
2. Reconciling invoices with supporting documentation and purchase orders to ensure accuracy and compliance
3. Preparing cheques for authorisation and processing payment transactions in a timely manner
4. Maintaining accurate and organised filing systems for all payable-related documents
5. Communicating with vendors regarding invoice discrepancies, payment terms, and outstanding matters
6. Assisting in the preparation of accounts payable reports and statements
7. Supporting month-end and year-end closing procedures as required
8. Performing general accounting tasks and ad hoc duties to support the accounting function
9. Ensuring compliance with internal controls and accounting policies and procedures

What we're looking for

1. Bachelor's degree in Accountancy
2. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications and/or ERP
3. Strong numeracy skills and accuracy in financial data entry and record-keeping
4. Excellent organizational and time management abilities
5. Attention to detail with the capacity to work with large volumes of transactions
6. Professional communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and external vendors
7. Knowledge of Accounts Payable processes, withholding taxes, and invoice processing.
8. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information
9. Willingness to learn and develop in a financial services environment
